Emma Nelson to star in Richard Linklater's next 'Where'd You Go, Bernadette'

Nelson joins Cate Blanchett, Kristen Wiig, Billy Crudup, Laurence Fishburne and Judy Greer in the film, which has been written by Linklater.

LOS ANGELES: Newcomer Emma Nelson has been cast in Richard Linklater's upcoming comedy-drama "Where'd You Go, Bernadette".

Nelson joins Cate Blanchett, Kristen Wiig, Billy Crudup, Laurence Fishburne and Judy Greer in the film, which has been written by Linklater.

She will play the role of Bee, the daughter of Blanchett's character Bernadette.

The actor was selected from 500 people who auditioned for the role, Deadline reported.

The film, based on Maria Semple's novel, follows Bernadette Fox (Blanchett), an architect-turned-recluse who goes missing prior to a family vacation.

Megan Ellison of Annapurna Pictures is producing along with Color Force Productions' Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson.
