Season 2 of The Night Agent is set to premiere on Netflix on January 23. Adapted from Matthew Quirk’s eponymous novel, the series stars Gabriel Basso as Peter Sutherland, a low-ranking FBI agent assigned to the basement of the White House, where he mans a rarely-used emergency phone line.

His life changes when, one night, the phone rings, thrusting him into a fast-paced and perilous conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of government.

The first season concluded with Sutherland’s promotion from low-level agent to “night agent” after he successfully uncovered a White House terrorist plot. The finale saw him embarking on his first mission in his new role.

Returning cast members include Luciane Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Sarah Desjardins, Eve Harlow, Arienne Mandi, Louis Herthum, Berto Colon, and Phoenix Raei. New additions to the ensemble are Amanda Warren, Brittany Snow, and Teddy Sears.

Shawn Ryan serves as The Night Agent’s creator and showrunner. The upcoming season will comprise 10 episodes.
