Followed by the grand success of ‘Eeram’, director Shankar is ready with his next production ‘Rettaisuzhi’. If ‘Eeram’ was a supernatural thriller, this film will be a pure family drama with right mix of comedy and sentiments.

‘Rettaisuzhi’ marks the debut directorial of Thamira and indeed brings ace filmmakers K. Balachandar and Bharathiraja together for the first time. Both the directors will be playing lead roles and Thamira has delineated them with appealing characterizations.

Says Thamira: “The film will be a great treat for children and family audiences. Rettaisuzhi has 22 children aged 6-16 donning prominent roles. Balachandar enacts the role of Ramasamy and Bharathiraja as Singara Velan. One of them is ardent followers of communism while other one is strongly adhered to the ideologies of congress and gradually gets involved in pettifogger. But then, they’ve a strong admiration for each other.”

Thamira is sure that Karthik Raja’s musical score will contribute a lot to film’s success. The film is slated to hit the screens in December.
