East Coast Communications is coming up with its new film ‘Mohabbath’, starring Meera Jasmine and two heroes, Anand Michael and Munna Simon. It is the second directorial venture of East Coast Vijayan, the first being ‘Novel’.

East Coast Vijayan has been instrumental in revolutionising the genre of music videos, albums, stage shows, ghazals and mappilappatu.

‘Mohabbat’ has script by Siddique Shameer. The film sees the comeback of music composer S Balakrishnan. He has composed music for five songs written by Vayalar Sharatchandra Varma. There is another song written by newcomer K A Latheef, which is set to music by Santhosh Varma.

The singers include Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghosal and Manjari. A highlight of the film will be a song sung by Hariharan and Mamta Mohandas and picturised on them. Camera is by Jibu Jacob and editing is by P C Mohanan. The film will be distributed by East Coast Reel and Real Entertainments.

The pooja of the film will be held at East Coast Studio located at Sasthamangalam on November 12 at 8.30 a.m. Ministers N K Premachandran, Binoy Viswam and Surendran Pillai, Cherian Philip, T N Prathapan MLA and singer Hariharan will be present.

The film will be shot in Vaikom and Ernakulam from December 10 and is set to release in March 2011.
