Director Nanda Kishore, who is done shooting his upcoming film with actor Manoranjan, has been thinking about what to call this remake of VIP (Velaiyilla Pattathari).

And after much thought, he has decided to retain the same name, VIP, with its Kannada expansion Vrutti Illada Padavidhara, which means an unemployed degree holder.

Ask Nanda Kishore how he managed to come up with such a unique title that even gels with VIP, and he says, “We considered many titles and even thought of keeping something like Naa Layak, but finally we decided on Vrutti Illada Padavidhara, which suits the film’s story well.”

While VIP will be the second film of Manoranjan after Saheba, the film marks the debut of Mishti Chakraborty in Sandalwood, the actress who started her Bollywood career with Kaanchi directed by Subhash Ghai.

The film produced by Rockline Venkatesh has Saikumar, Sitara, Avinash, Sadhukokila, Prakash Belawadi and Thaarak Ponnappa  playing important roles. VIP has music by  V Harikrishna and cinematography by Sathya Hegde. KM Prakash will handle the editing.
