LOS ANGELES: Kanye West has revealed he was diagnosed with a "mental condition" when he was 39.

The 40-year-old rapper said he did not consider his condition as a "disability", but a "superpower", People magazine reported.

"I had never been diagnosed until I was 39," West said during an interview recorded with radio host Big Boy after his Wyoming listening party for his new album 'YE'.

When he clarified that he was diagnosed with a "mental condition", the rapper added, "But like I said on the album, it's not a disability, it's a superpower."

The recording artiste, however, declined to specify what he had been diagnosed with during the interview.

West had already confirmed on his new LP that he is bipolar, calling the condition his "superpower".
