HYDERABAD: After delivering a box-office disappointment with Himesh Reshammiya starrer Karzzz actor-director Satish Kaushik is back with Teree Sang raising the sensitive issue of teenage pregnancy.

“I read about the cases about teenage pregnancy on the Internet and realised it is an issue that needs to be raised. A lot of research has gone into the film. It is a regular romantic love story trying to address a distinct topic,” said Kaushik who after a year-long break is making an attempt to bring to light an issue that is rampant and is growing exponentially in the current Indian society.

“It is a topic which is being talked by every youngster. The questions raised in the film are very relevant and I hope it is taken well by the audience,” he said.

The film revolves around 15-year-old Maahi played by debutante Sheena Shahabadi and 17-year-old boy Kabir enacted by Mere Pehla Pehla Pyar fame actor Ruslaan Mumtaz.

The narrative charts the story of the young couple, who commit a mistake resulting which Maahi gets pregnant and the story thickens as the two teenagers learn to take responsibility of their actions. The movie boasts of a power-packed star cast including Rajat Kapoor, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher among others.
