Ranbir Kapoor is Johnny Balraj in 'Bombay Velvet': First Look Poster

India West

The first look and the poster of the director Anurag Kashyap's "Bombay Velvet" is out. It shows Ranbir Kapoor as Johnny Balraj. With disheveled hair, a suited gun trotting Ranbir is quoted as saying, "Hello! I'm Johnny Balraj. Nice to Meet You." The new hair style and the street fighter styling does look good on Ranbir.

Anushka Sharma, who also stars in the film, posted on Twitter. "Say hello to the Big Shot Johnny Balraj of #BombayVelvet first look out on 29th @foxstarhindi @FuhSePhantom."

We had earlier seen a sneak peek of the actress in a short hair do and glam avatar.

The other look of the film that's out shows Ranbir with his back to the camera with grease on him holding on to a fence. Guess, he is getting set for fight.

Based on historian Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables', "Bombay Velvet" is the story of boxer Johnny Balraj, and an aspiring jazz singer, Rosie, and is set in the 1960s Mumbai.

The film also stars Karan Johar and Kay Kay Menon.
