Supriya Pathak Makes Comeback to Television with ‘Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re

India West

MUMBAI: Supriya Pathak Kapur will be seen on television again with the show “Jaane Kya Hoga Rama Re.” Pathak, who was last seen on television more than a year ago, has a new show up her sleeve, that too as one of the main leads.

Says Pathak, “I was very hesitant to accept daily shows, as it takes up a lot of time, and I wasn’t happy with the content. But, in this case, the script was so compelling that I couldn’t refuse Shobhana, who is the producer of this show and an old friend.”

Along with her, Vinti Idnani and Jatin Sharma will play the lead roles. The story asks a rhetorical question: What will happen to the world if people always choose the demon inside of them to dominate over the angelic side? The show will go on air early next month on the Life OK channel.

Seems like most of the Kapur family is in a flurry of activity now: Pankaj Kapur (her husband), Sanah Kapur (her daughter) and Shahid Kapoor (her son) are set to release “Shaandaar” this week!

The actress is best remembered for her work in “Khichdi,” the sitcom, and began her career opposite Mohnish Bahl, Nutan’s son, in the 1983 “Madras” melodrama “Bekaraar,” which was top-lined by Sanjay Dutt and Padmini Kolhapure.
