Alternately known as the ‘action king’ or the ‘prince of comedy,’ Akshay prefers not to be termed as either. He says he gets bored and loves challenges. After dabbling in several genres, Akshay will once again be seen tickling the funny bone in Housefull 3.

Of late, you have been doing films in various genres. How does it feel to return to comedy with Housefull 3?

I feel relieved because it’s a stress-buster. But at the same time it was very exhausting because comedy is all about doing everything in one take, you have to say a stretch of dialogues in one take; if it is cut, people won’t laugh. This becomes very exhausting. It was nice to come back on the set of Housefull, I have not done any kind of comedy in two years.

While you were known for your comic roles earlier, out of your four releases last year only one was a comedy -- Singh Is Bliing.  Why is that?

I want to do different things; I don’t want to have a particular image. I don’t want to be called an action hero or a comic hero, or a villain hero. I just want to keep changing, to keep challenging myself

What is remarkable about you is how you continue to do multiple films in a year, unlike other major stars.

I try to finish my films in 40 days. If I do one film a year that means I will work only for 40 or 50 days ... what will I do on the other days?

Did you have fun working with Abhishek Bachchan again, 14 years after Haan Maine Bhi Pyar Kiya?

He is very good at comedy. His timing in this film too is great. In real life, Abhishek’s humour is akin to English humour. His humour is subtle... sometimes we would not understand it.
