MUMBAI: Actress Radhika Apte says she wasn't disheartened when the leaked nude scenes from her upcoming film "Parched" went viral.

The clips were seen as a marketing gimmick and created a controversy.

"It is not disheartening. I am not bogged down about it (nude scenes) coming out. I am not bothered about all these things," Radhika, 31, told PTI.

"I did know that my role would require me to do the nude scenes. I was amazed with the way the media kept on talking about it," she added.

Ask her how she dealt with the issue, and Radhika says, "I don't think too much about these things. The film is much more than this scene. It's not a leaked scene, the film is (released) abroad in many countries and it is available on Netflix."

The film also stars Surveen Chawla, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Sayani Gupta. Directed by Leena Yadav, "Parched" is set in rural Gujarat and traces the bittersweet tale of four ordinary women. It has won acclaim at international film festivals.

The film, produced by Ajay Devgn and Aseem Bajaj, is set to release in India on September 23.
