NEW DELHI: With Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput ringing in her first Mother’s Day with their daughter Misha, the actor has given her a special Insta shout-out.
Taking it to his Instagram page, the 36-year-old star shared an adorable snap of Mira and their baby girl enjoying the sunset from their apartment.
He captioned it as, “Happy Mother’s Day all. @mira.kapoor you make me so proud. Misha is lucky to have you.”
Recently, Mira’s remarks about being a housewife stirred up a storm. She had said that she wears the label of a housewife with pride and irked many working mothers by saying, "I wouldn't want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work. Why did I have her (daughter Misha)? She is not a puppy, you know. I want to be there for her as a mother."
However, the ‘Udta Punjab’ came to his wife rescue, saying that she did not mean to offend anyone.
Mira also commented that she was just speaking her mind and her intention was not to offend or hurt anyone, adding “Maybe. But I am not a seasoned actor and I don't know how to be politically correct.”
On the work front, Shahid was last seen in the movie ‘Rangoon’ alongside Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.
