Vidyut Jammwal’s recent release, Khuda Haafiz, is getting a sequel. Directed by Faruk Kabir, Khuda Haafiz Chapter II will go on floors in 2021.

The first part was released on Disney+ Hotstar on August 14. The film was inspired by a real incident during the 2008 financial crisis, where a Indian woman was kidnapped and forced into the flesh trade in the Gulf. In Khuda Haafiz,

Jammwal’s character, Sameer, goes on a mission to save his wife Nargis (Shivaleeka Oberoi). The cast also featured Annu Kapoor as a resourceful cab driver and Aahana Kumra as an Arab agent.

“To adjust and successfully live in the society after the woman has gone through this turmoil is the real beginning of the love story.

That’s what we’re planning to showcase in the second chapter,” Jammwal said in a statement. Kabir said he always had a sequel in mind, but wanted to wait for the audience’s response.“Khuda Haafiz Chapter II is a more potent and heartfelt love story about how the lead characters come to terms with what has happened to them. This is not going to be a franchise film.

It’s the final lethal chapter. Expect bigger action for sure, but also a bigger heart, and on a bigger screen,” the director added. Produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak (Panorama Studios) and co-produced by Sanjeev Joshi and Aditya Chowksey, Khuda Haafiz Chapter II is expected to go on floors early next year.
