KANNADA: Actor Mayur Patel, the son of Madan Patel, makes a comeback with Hunja after a gap of one year. His last film was Muniya, which failed to make a positive impact on the box office.

Now, he plays the lead role in Hunja, directed by Jayanth and produced by Satyanarayana.  Deepika plays the role of an innocent village belle in this action-packed flick and  Avinash acts her father, a village chief.

According to director Jayanth, the story of the film is about an innocent village boy, who falls in love with the daughter of the village chief. “Mayur, as an innocent boy has acted well. He will be seen as an angry young man,  who is determined to teach a lesson to vicious people during the post-intermission session,” says Jayanth.

He said the film has an item number by Swathi. “It will be an added attraction. She has danced well and that particular item number has the potential to keep the audience happy ,” said the director.

Thanking Jayanth for the heroine role in the movie, Deepika says the role she is playing in Hunja is different from the one she played in Patre Loves Padma. “Initially in the movie, I carry a wrong image of the hero, but later will realise my mistake and join hands with him,” said Deepika, who ran out of time to dub for her role in this film. “I was busy with the shooting of a Tamil film. I wanted to dub for my role but circumstances did not allow me to do so. I will certainly attend dubbing at studio for my future films,” said Deepika. If everything goes according to the plan, the film is expected to hit the silver screen on Friday.
