Kannada film director Rathnaja, who was in the news for the controversial kissing photo with actress Amoolya, has got married to Priyadarshini, who is the daughter of his elder sister. His wife is a software engineer by profession.
The wedding was conducted with not much fanfare at Himad Gopalaswamy Hill near Gundulpet on August 27. The media was not allowed to cover the event of the director, who had made films like ‘Premism’, ‘Honganasu’ and ‘Nenpirali’.
However, the Rathnaja could not avoid controversy and media in this private event either.
A private channel’s staff tried to enter the venue to cover the wedding but their cameras were snatched and the crew was beaten by the director’s friends. Later, this issue was solved in the police station.
This marriage has however put an end to rumours that the director would wed actress Amoolya.
Amoolya was the lead heroine of the director’s latest release ‘Premism’. While shooting for this movie, this particular controversial photo was clicked, which was denied by both the parties. Amoolya was also present at the wedding along with Prem Kumar, the lead hero of the movie, and music director Hamsalekha.
