BANGALORE: Sudeep and Darshan are waging a war with each other to acquire the remake rights of the Tamil blockbuster ‘Singam’. The film was a huge hit in Tamil and Telugu and both the actors are convinced that the film suits their image.

And that’s how trouble began.

Kannada film producers are more than ready to shell out enormous amounts of money to acquire the remake rights. Some of these producers are relatives of the actors.

According to sources, offers are running as high as Rs 50 Lakhs! With that kind of money, a director like Dr Girish Kasaravalli could make an entire film on first copy basis.

The remake rights of ‘Darling’, another in demand film, was recently bagged by Sudeep. In another few days, we’ll know who gets the rights of ‘Singam’.
