Ashok Patil, who handled the megaphone for films like Shaapa and Jokefalls, is brimming with confidence about the success of his forthcoming film 9 to 12.
The film’s shooting was held recently in and around Bangalore and re-recording
is in progress. Ashok Patil claims that his latest film will be completely different from his previous ones.
“Shaapa was a romantic and sentimental flick while Jokefalls, as its name suggests, was full of comedy.
Now, my third film 9 to 12 is suspense and action-oriented,” says Patil.
Kishore, who is known for playing tough cops, plays the role of a taxi-driver. “The movie is all about the incidents that happen between 9 pm to 12 pm. It also explains how an innocent tax-driver suffers for no fault of his, due to these incidents,” says Patil.
Patil’s brother B C Patil has also played a key role in this movie. Smitha is the heroine.
Majority of the movie’s shooting was held during night at Yelahanka and Bidadi.
Appreciating Kishore for his acting skills, Patil said that 9 to 12 would give
Kishore a new status in Sandalwood.
“Kishore is playing a different role in this film.
He has acted with total dedication and commitment. I hope the audience will accept his new avatar,” says Patil.
On Smitha, who acted as the heroine in Kavitha Lankesh’s film Avva, Patil
said: “Smitha is a wonderful actress. She will have a bright future if she takes
acting in films as a career.” Niranjana Babu is the cinematographer for 9 to 12. Sai Karthik is the music director.
Nandish Dhananjay and Kiran Murthy are the producers. The film is two hours
long.
