BANGALORE: Biyanka Desai, who made her debut in Sandalwood with ‘Rocky’ in which Yash played the lead role, has every reason to smile with pride. She is the only actress in Sandalwood whose movie is set to release in three languages simultaneously.
It may be recalled that Biyanka finished the shoot for the tri-lingual movie ‘Koffee Bar’ a few months ago. It is being released in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada at the same time. “It was tough to act three times for each scene. I had to put in a lot of effort while facing camera for this movie,” says Biyanka, with a smile.
Considering herself a lucky heroine, Biyanka hopes ‘Koffee Bar’ will provide her more opportunities in Tamil and Telugu movies. “I am grateful to director Geeta Krishna for giving me an opportunity to act in this film. I am amazed by the film-making in Tamil and Telugu. I am looking forward to act in Telugu and Tamil films,” says Biyanka.
Biyanka has once again proved to be lucky after getting the chance to act in ‘Week End’, which is being made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. While Arjun Sarja is the hero, Tinu Varma, who worked as the stunt master for Pavan Kalyan's film ‘Komaram Puli’, is handling the megaphone.
Two rounds of shooting were completed for Week End. “It is an amazing film. I am very happy to get the chance to act opposite Arjun Sarja. Week End has become a launch pad for me to foray Bollywood,” says Biyanka.
Biyanka acted in Kannada films such as 'Gulaama', 'Challidaru Sampigeya', 'Yogi' and 'Sanchaari'. She also took part in an item song for the Sudeep and Ramya-starrer 'Kicha Hucha' that is slated for release next week.
What made Biyanka star in an item song?
“I am at a loss to understand why people consider me an item girl. It is a guest appearance. It will be a guest appearance if an established artiste appears in a song sequence. It will be an item song if a newcomer appears in such song sequence,” explains Biyanka.
Was it convenient for Biyanka to act in that song sequence?
“Yes. I was comfortable in that song sequence. I have complete faith in the director, the choreographer and the cinematographer of Kicha Hucha. I hope they will not showcase me in poor light,” adds Biyanka.
