Puneeth in 'Naadodigal' remake

Madesh will direct the young actor in the remake of the Tamil blockbuster hit; Radhika Pandit is the heroine.

Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar’s yet to be titled film mounted the sets at Sri Kanteerava Studios on Monday. It is a re-make of Tamil film 'Naadodigal'.

For the first time, Yogesh, who is known as 'Loose Mada' among his friends and well-wishers, Kitty alias 'Srinagar' Kitty, are acting in a Puneeth Rajkumar’s film.

Director Madesh has been assigned to handled the megaphone. It will be Madesh’s second film. Earlier, he directed Puneeth’s film 'Ram' in which Priyamani played the heroine role.

Puneeth said that it will be a different film. “My fans can see me in a different role in this film. It is my second film with director Madesh. I agreed to act in this film because of its script that has the potential to showcase my acting skills,” said Puneeth.

Radhika Pandit, known as successful heroine of Sandalwood, was on the cloud nine. “Every artiste will have an ambition to act in films made by Dr Rajkumar’s family. As an artiste, I too had such ambition. I am very happy to realise my dream of acting with Puneeth Rajkuamr,” says Radhika.

Srinagar Kitty and Yogesh have also expressed their happiness for having an opportunity to share the screen with an actor like Puneeth.

Director Madesh has prepared a 90-day shooting plan for this film. Its shooting is expected to be held in Bangalore, Shravanabelagola, Chikkaade, Mysore and surrounding places. Madesh said that he is very happy for working as director for this film. “It is my second film with Puneeth. I am sure of its success,” said Madesh.

Producers K Manju, KCN Chandrasekhar, Rockline Venkatesh, TP Siddaraju, directors Yogaraj Bhat, Suri, MS Rajasekhar were among the prominent personalities attended the muhurat function. Crazy Star Ravichandran sounded the clap board.
