There is good news for fans of director Ravi Srivatsa. His film 'Deadly 2' got a certificate from the Regional Censor Board without any problem - a first for the director.

Srivatsa had faced problems in getting certificates for his earlier movies, including 'Madesha', 'Deadly Soma', 'Rajeev' and 'Ganda Hendathi'.

“I am very happy to get the 'A' certificate without any problems from the Censor Board. The officials appreciated the film but gave it an A certificate,” said Srivatsa.

“In 'Deadly Soma', the hero succumbs to police bullets. The only character that survives is the police officer (played by Devaraj). The script of 'Deadly 2' is based on this,” explained the director.

Srivatsa said that he was grateful to Suhasini for agreeing to act in this film. “I will never forget the cooperation I got from Suhasini during the shooting,” he said.

The shooting of 'Deadly 2', which started in February, was completed recently. It had to be postponed by one month when the hero Auditya was injured during a stunt sequence.

The director said that the film has all the ingredients to keep the audience happy. “The speciality of this film is the crisp narration. It has 132 scenes that last for 118 minutes. This is a first for a Kannada film and can add value to it,” said the director.

Producer Manjunath also expressed happiness over 'Deadly 2' getting the certificate from the Regional Censor Board without any controversy.

The film's shooting was completed in 41 days. “Ravi Kale also played a key role in this action-packed film,” said Manjunath.
