Ramesh Aravind is one of the artistes in Sandalwood who knows the industry inside out.

Aravind had not only acted in more than 150 films but also has directed some films in Kannada. He is considered as the producers’ artiste because he understands the difficulties of the producers.

“Knowledge of daily collection report (DCR) of the box office is a must. It helps the artistes know the value of their films and the difficulties of the producers. It is the duty of an artiste to take care of the producer’s welfare," says Aravind.

His latest film 'Preethiyinda Ramesh' is expected to hit the silver screen this Friday and he is confident of its success. “Its script is different. It has a message for the society," he explains.

According to him, the script focuses on the latest trend — love through the internet - that has become a craze of the youth. “I try to find my love through the internet. Generally heroines love heroes and hate villains. The specialty of this film is that heroine hates the hero by mistaking him as a villain,’’ said Aravind.

According to director, the film also highlights the effect of big malls on small shop owners.

“Many shop owners lost their livelihood because of the multinational companies opening big shopping malls. I play the role of a CEO of a shopping mall while Ramaneethu acts as a bookstore owner," he adds.

Ananth Nag, Suma Guha, Kiran are the other important actors in this romance-oriented film. According to director Gunakumar, the film will be accepted by class as well as mass.

“Though it focuses on the internet, there will be no problems for the audience at taluks to understand its concept,’’ said Gunakumar. A T Raveesh has provided the music.
