Mathondu Madhuvenaa! is a sequel to Yeradane Madhuve that became a box-office hit last year. Although the director has weaved a clean script for Mathondu Madhuvenaa!, he has failed to narrate it aptly. Had he taken a little bit  of care to avoid monotony in narration, the movie would have been better.

However, the movie is worth a watch owing to the message it carries for the parents who give silly and outdated ideas to their children. It also conveys a message to the housewives who suspect their husbands at a drop of a hat.

The movie is about the couple Vishwanath (Ananth Nag) and Malavika (Suhasini) who arrange their elder daughter Mrudhula’s (Priyanka) marriage with Vivek (Naveen Krishna). The newly-married couple has no problems but Malavika wants her son-in-law to turn vegetarian. She also advises her daughter on how to control her husband. Meanwhile, Vivek goes to Bangalore  on official work. Circumstances compel one of Vivek’s female colleagues to share his room and attend a phone call from his wife. Mrudhula starts suspecting Vivek. As if it is not enough, Vivek approaches an absent-minded doctor for blood test. As expected, the doctor hands over the wrong report. The report states that he is unfit to become a father and owing to this, Vivek starts suspecting his pregnant wife Mrudhula. Vishwanath asks his friend Murthy (Raju Thalikote), an advocate, to help his daughter.

While Murthy and Vishwanath are on a mission to solve Mrudhula’s problems, one more problem crops up — Veena (Jennifer Kotwal). She was compelled to stay at Vishwanath’s room due to some unavoidable reasons,  attends a phone call from Vishwanath’s wife.

Ananth Nag and Suhasini have acted well. Naveen Krishna is at his best. His dialogue delivery deserves appreciation. Tara and Sharan try their best to make the audience giggle.
