BANGALORE: The release date of Kannada film Boss was pushed back by a week, making it the first film to hit theaters in 2011 from the Sandalwood film industry. The Darshan, Navya Nair , Rekha starrer ‘Boss’ is expected to draw a huge number of viewers to theaters considering that it will be released during the holiday weekend.

Reports say that the delay in release has acted in favour of the film because it will ensure a greater number of people visiting theaters playing ‘Boss’ on the opening day itself.

Ramesh Yadav, producer of ‘Boss’, issued a statement to the media citing pre-release publicity as the chief reason for the delay in the release date. The cast and crew of ‘Boss’ has taken one week’s time to promote their film in various cities across South India.
