Puneeth Rajkumar’s recently released Power *** has remained true to its title with the film doing `10 crore worth of business at the box office in the first week of its release in 275 theatres. Confirming the news is Prasad of Samrath Ventures, who is distributing the film across Karnataka. He says, “We made an investment of `11 crore for distribution and the film has made a gross collection of `10 crore, till last Thursday. With `3 crore going for theatre rental, we have got a share of `7 crore. We are sure to get back the balance of `4 crore during this week after which, we will look at profit making. The movie has managed the gross collection without Puneeth Rajkumar’s presence because he was in the USA for the AKKA celebrations. He has now come back and will start promoting the film across Karnataka, which will only be an added advantage for the film.”
Power *** the film, which has garnered a lot of appreciation in Karnataka is all set to release in the United States in the coming weeks. “We are planning to release in six theatres across the US,” confirms director K Madesh.
