A Sharadhaa

While Darshan is busy completing two projects - Viraat and Airavata, director Raghavendra Hegde is gearing up to start his film, Jaggu Dada. The director plans to go on floors from August 10 and has roped in South Indian actress Urvashi to play Darshan’s mother. “Since the film runs mainly on a comedy track, we wanted an actor who has the knack for comedy and the only actress we thought of was Urvashi. We have finalised her and are on the lookout for a perfect heroine who will be comfortable with comedy,” says the director who has also finalised Ravi Shankar, Sharath Lohitashwa, Bullet Prakash among others. “I am also in talks with three well-known actors of Kannada industry who will play a cameo in Jaggu Dada,” he added.

Discuiing the challenge of  finding the right heroine, the director says, “Apart from  playing the love interest, she has to fit into comedy as well and  also carry some emotional sequences. But even if it takes time, we want to have a suitable leading lady on board.”
