Prajwal's Quest for Revival After a Series of Failures

A Sharadhaa

Consistency is not something every actor is blessed with. Prajwal Devaraj knows it all too well.  Having played the romantic hero successfully in his debut film Sixer, he had to then experience the agony of staring at failure continuously because of his weakness for lost causes.

The talented actor is treading carefully now, taking the critical reviews into his stride, and embarking on a new journey in Sandalwood with his upcoming film Arjuna followed by Bhujanga.

“To begin with, I realised that too many films were ruining me. Also, giving an opportunity to new directors affected my career. So, I am now concentrating on one film at a time. It helps to immerse in each character,” he says.

According to him, after working in PC Shekhar’s Arjuna, which will be his next release and his present project Bhujanga, he feels more challenged as an actor.

“It was a new experience to be in front of a veteran actor. Keeping up with this dynamic acting was itself a task,” Prajwal adds. “The film is a thriller and a murder mystery and dad and I are the characters pitted against each other. Secondly, you will be seeing a new Prajwal  from the way I walk and dress, and in my expressions too. Small things have actually made a difference in Arjuna.”

Prajwal has undergone a complete transformation in terms of presenting himself.

According to him, even in Bhujanga, he has come out of the boy-next-door image.

“Today, I want to take a script that will evolve with me. In Bhujanga, I play a thief in a slum. So, I have changed physically and mentally. I don’t call it a second innings, but it is just a new line of choices,” he says.
