Harsha to present yash as lion in Raana

A Sharadhaa

Sandalwood is to witness a new actor-director combination with Yash and A Harsha in a film titled Raana. What is more interesting is that the movie is a coming together of two friends. Therefore, for the first time, Yash commited to Harsha's movie even before listening to the script.

Yash says, "It was a long-pending commitment. Both of us wanted to work with each other. He used to tease me saying, 'You are not giving me dates'. So, I gave the nod even before he had a script ready."

The actor says that he believes in the director and is confident about his work. "And true to form, he has come with an excellent script," says Yash.

He says, "We have grown up together. He has been with me even when I was starting out. We both have done stage shows together."

This movie also brings together a commercial actor and director. Then, Yash is a good dancer and Harsha a choreographer-turned-director.

The movie promises to be power- packed.

Yash prefers pure entertainment. "Like my other films, Raana too will be a thorough entertainer with action, humour, love and whatever else required. I believe in entertaining, rather than experimenting," he says.

The makers are planning to start work on the film on January 8, 2017, on Yash's birthday. "I will start shoot for Raana once I am through with KGF shoot," he says.

Harsha is equally happy to be associating with actor and friend Yash. He says, "Raana is nothing but a lion and Yash's character will have that ferocity. The actor will carry many get-ups. He trusts me and therefore it is now my responsibility. He okayed the script in one sitting.

I now wait to start shoot by the beginning of next year".

The film, produced by Ramesh Kashyap, will be made under the banner of Simhadri Productions.

Apart from Yash, Harsha has roped in cameraman Swamy J and is in the process of finalising the rest of the cast and technicians.
