Sudeep and Uppi now Mukunda Murari

A Sharadhaa

While the preparation work is going on for the remake of

Oh My God in Kannada, a lot of buzz surrounds the upcoming film as it gets ready to go on the floors. Initially titled as Krishna Nee Begane Baaro in Kannada has now been changed to Mukunda Murari. Though the makers are tight-lipped about the name, our source tells us the reason in the change of title. "They chose for Krishna Nee Begane Baaro, but later felt that the title was quite common and so decided on Mukunda Murari, which they thought was unique."

The film directed by Nanda Kishore will see Upendra and Sudeep, a rare combination on silver screen. While they plan to start shooting from February 11,  the search is going on for a heroine to be paired opposite Upendra. This time they choose to bring back a heroine who made a hit combination with Upendra. Our source tells us, "The production house will be approaching Prema who worked with Uppi in Upendra and most likely they might zero in on the actress." If so, this will be a come-back film for Prema in Kannada. "The other heroines who have also been considered are Sadaa, Ramya Krishnan among few others. They are also planning to approach Nidhi Subbaiah to play the role of the journalist, which she played in her Hindi debut, Oh My God," our source shares.

Kichcha Creations, Jayashreedevi Productions and N Kumar Productions are coming together to produce this film that will also see Ravi Shankar, Avinash among others in the starcast. Arjun Janya will score the music and Sudhakar s Raj as cinematographer. They have roped in art director Mohan B Kere as art director and JM Prakash as editor for the film.

Meanwhile, Upendra, Sudeep and Nanda Kishore are busy completing the shoot of their respective films and will be joining the sets of Mukunda Murari.
