Pooja Gandhi will be awarded with an honorary doctorate for her contribution toKannada film industry recently. The actress, who started her career in South with a Tamil film, Kokki made her Sandalwood debut withMungaru Malen opposite Ganesh. The film was a blockbuster hit and since then the actress has been known as 'Male Hudugi'.
Pooja, who is now settled in Bengaluru, predominantely works in Sandalwood and has been part of 50 films so far. She also turned a producer with Abhinetri.
The actress is gestured with a doctorate by the Governing Council of Confederation of International Accreditation Commission - CIAC in affliliation with KEISIE International University - South Korea. The doctorate will be awarded to her today at the Town Hall.
