Sriimurali has Mufti sequel in his mind

Film’s collection breaks records, and people seem to love the chemistry the actor shares with Shivarajkumar on screen

Looks like 2017 is ending on a high note for actor Sriimurali, with Mufti. The film, which also features Shivarajkumar, released last weekend is emerging a blockbuster hit.

According to producer Jayanna, Mufti’s box office collection as on Tuesday is said have crossed ` 15 crores in 250 theatres and is expected to break records of previous hit films in Sandalwood.

Sriimurali, who is currently visiting theatres, is overwhelmed by the number of ‘Houseful’ boards and is glad that the film has won over the audiences. Going by the reception Mufti is receiving, Sriimurali now has a sequel in mind.

The actor adds that the movie won’t go on floors immediately, but he will pursue it once he is done with his prior commitments.He says, “The film falls in a genre people would love to watch and they have given a thumbs up for the first one. They have made it a hit and we have to cater what they are expecting,” he says.

The film marks the directorial debut of Narthan, and its ensemble cast includes Vasishta Simha and Shanvi Srivastava among others. Mufti has music by Ravi Basrur and cinematography by Naveen Kumar.
