Kirik Party, which is a stupendous success in Karnataka after grossing `18 crore at box office in the second week of its release, is now making news across the border. The Rakshit Shetty starrer, which  released in Dubai over the last weekend and saw 20 plus screenings, has  raked in `38 lakhs in 3 days, which we hear is a first for a Kannada film.

The film also released in Abu Dhabi and the crew including Rakshit, director Rishab Shetty and actress Rashmika Mandanna,  who visited the theatres was overwhelmed by  the response. Pushkar Malikarjunaiah, who partnered with Paramvah Studios for this film told City Express that Kirik Party now holds the record of being the first Kannada film to make so much business in Dubai.

This time even the non-Kannada speaking  people are keen to  watch the film, and the distributor had to increase the number of screenings.

The film’s next stop will be at Australia following which it will be released in the UK on January 21 and in the  USA during the 1st week of February.
