Tarun Sudhir’s debut directorial Chowka has already been creating a buzz for bringing an ensemble cast, having 25 technicians and challenging star Darshan playing a cameo. Adding a feather to the directorial cap, Tarun brings in Puneeth Rajkumar, who has lent his voice for one of the songs composed by Anoop Seelin.
The actor recorded the track on Tuesday. It was an interesting fact to know from Tarun, who told us that the Rajkumar family was associating with Dwarakish Pictures after 40 years. Chowka is the 50th film made under their banner.
“Dwarakish’s first production was Mayor Muthanna that starred Rajkumar followedby Bhagyavantaru, which came in 1997 after which the two got together with Puneeth singing a song for Dwarakish’s film,” he explains.
The track is a party number and Puneeth has sung it in four different variations.
“He starts with folk, then sings in western style, hip hop and concludes with Sufi. This was required because the film has four heroes, who come in different periods and seasons,” Tarun says.
