Ashika Ranganath, who started her acting career with Mahesh Babu’s directorial Crazy Boy, has managed to charm her way into the industry.

Filmmakers recognising her acting strength has allowed the actress to be part of various roles and good projects, which include Raju Kannada Medium, Shivanna’s Mass Leader, Ganesh starrer Mugulunage and Garuda. Audiences are waiting to watch more of her on the big screen, and Ashika has waste no time in picking her next big project in which she will be sharing screenspace with Sharan in a film directed by Anil Kumar.

The film, made under Laddoo Cinemas, has  7 producers - Tarun Sudhir, Arjun Janya, Sudhakar S Raj, KM Prakash, Mohan B Kere, Sharan and Atlanta Nagendra - five of whom are technicians.

This yet-to-be titled project went on the floors last week, and Sharan and Ashika participated in the shoot. This project will also be interesting for the actress, as after being part of many multi-starrer films, she will be playing the solo lead. “The film will see Ashika and Sharan sharing equal amount of screen time,” says a member from the production house.

Apparently, this film will also see Ashika undergoing a transformation.

“We are breaking away from her usual look. She will sport a bold and glam look for the role,” says our source.

The film’s first schedule will go on for the next 10 days.
