Pawan Kumar not only has an eye for good scripts, but also ensures that his movies gain critical acclaim.
The filmmaker was a first in the industry to fund a film through crowdfunding. This was for Lucia, following which, the director also started his own production house to promote young talent.

The filmmaker is now heading another project. Ondu Motteya Kathe, directed by Raj B Shetty will be presented by Pawan.

“This was a film, brought to me by a few youngsters. I watched the film’s first cut and realised that it has to be brought out in a good way. So I decided to take over the project and it will now be released under our banner,” he says.

Ondu Motteya Kathe is all set to create a buzz with the film already being selected for the New York Indian Film Festival. It will premiere at the festival in May.

The film’s poster hints that it is a romantic drama. “It is a story of a bald person,” says Pawan, adding,  “The team was in touch with me from the time they started making the film. They handed over the the copy to me recently. I was really impressed with the content, and the way the film is made. We did a lot of test screening with the audience and got an engaging response for this beautiful romantic drama. I now want to create a better platform to show Ondu Mottaye Kathe. It will be released like any other film of mine,” he says.
