Kannada TV actress Rekha Sindhu dies in car accident on Chennai-Bengaluru highway

The car in which she was travelling hit the median at a high speed and toppled, killing the actress and three others, on the spot.

Kannada serial actress Rekha Sindhu died in an accident while travelling on Chennai-Bangalore national highway on Friday.

According to a regional news website, the accident took place in Sunnampukuttai, a village near Pernambut. The car in which she was travelling hit the median at a high speed and toppled, killing the actress on the spot. Three others, identified as Abhishek Kumaran (22), Jayachandran (23) and Rakshan (20), who were travelling with her are in hospital under treatment.

The actress along with the injured co-passengers was rushed to Thirupatthur government hospital where she was declared brought dead.

The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

Rekha Sindhu was known for her work in Tamil and Kannada TV shows.
