Two sides of same coin, Hariprriya in Samhaara

Actress is glad to have bagged unique role in Guru Deshpande’s directorial

Hariprriya seems to be living life in the fast lane, and she has no complaints. She has been out of the city for nearly a month and a half, keeping herself busy shooting for her Kannada film Life Jothe Ondh Selfie and her big Telugu project Jai Simha, in which she has been paired opposite top Telugu actor Balakrishna. “I am feeling homesick but that’s part of the job and love for cinema,” says Hariprriya.

It was her work in Neerdose, released last year, which brought the actress critical acclaim. Her latest outing Bharjari, starring Dhruva Sarja, has been doing well at the box office and she hopes this year to end on a good note, with few movies up for theatrical release. Among them, one film she is looking forward to is Samhaara.

“While Chiranjeevi Sarja’s role as a visually challenged person in this Guru Deshpande directorial has been talked about, the heroine’s character is unique too,” says Hariprriya. Our sources tell us that Hariprriya is to play a character with two shades. Her earlier first-look photos showed her in a girl-next-door attire, and now City Express caught hold of a picture in which she appears in a glam avatar for Samhaara.

The actress herself refuses to share any details about her role. “I have been asked not to spoil the fun by revealing too much about my character, but it is like two sides of the same coin. I am happy that the producer A Venkatesh placed his confidence in me and he was particular that I do this role. I am thankful for that,” she says. Along with Hariprriya, the film also features Kavya Shetty in the cast.

The actress hopes to complete a large part of her current two projects by December first week, and she has already set aside her dates for this. “I have kept a few filmmakers with their scripts waiting and can’t wait to get back to discuss stories. I am also looking forward to being part of promotions of my forthcoming films, slated for release in coming weeks,” she says.
