Stuntmaster Ravi Varma’s directorial debut 'Rustum' to be launched on April 24

The south Indian stuntmaster, who has also been associated with Bollywood films, is all set to man the camera for Shivarajkumar. He has also roped in Anoop Seelin as music director and Naveen Kumar as cinematographer

Ravi Varma, who established himself as stuntmaster in south and Bollwyood industries, will be soon making his directorial debut. Titled Rustum, the film, made under Jayanna Combines, has none other than our Tagaru hero Shivarajkumar in the lead. The film has the actor yet again playing a cop in the film. Now in the pre-preparation stage, the muhurath for Rustum is likely to take place on April, 24, on Dr Rajkumar’s birth anniversary, and shooting will begin in May,” says our source.

Along with Shivarajkumar, the first-time director is about to bring the best cast for his film, which is in the process of finalisation now. Meanwhile, Ravi Varma has finalised on the technicians, with Anoop Seelin coming on-board as music director and Naveen Kumar of Mufti fame as Rustum’s cinematographer.
Ravi Varma is currently busy with Orange. The film, starring Ganesh and Priya Anand, is directed by Prashant Raj, and is currently being shot in Hyderabad. Shivrajkumar’s Tagaru released last week, and he has been receiving rave reviews for his role. The actor, who has his hands full with films right now,  is juggling between Prem’s directorial The Villain and Kavacha. His next projects include Lakki Gopal’s SRK and Rustum.
