KOCHI: Veteran Malayalam actor Thilakan was recently expelled from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). Following his expulsion, the actor has expressed his desire to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections in Kerala.

Thilakan wants to contest against KB Ganesh Kumar, who is an actor turned legislator from Pathanapuram. He is waiting for a political party to approach him now.

Recently, director Ali Akbar visited Thilakan at his home. He is making a film with Thilakan, titled ‘Achan'. The director’s car was then stoned by some miscreants. Thilakan claims that these people belonged to KB Ganesh Kumar's Kerala Congress(B) and he is convinced that the politician is scheming against him. So, Thilakan wants to fight back by challenging him in the coming elections.

He is sure about the involvement of Kerala Congress in the incident because they had sworn earlier that they will not allow to him to continue with the movie.

KB Ganesh Kumar was the transport minister during the AK Antony government and is a member of AMMA now.
