Express News Service

Since Ramzan releases couldn’t create any spur at the box office, expectations are skyrocketing for ‘Run Baby Run’, Joshiy’s Mohanlal starrer. The film, set to hit screens on Thiruvonam, has news media as the backdrop.

Mohanlal plays Venu, an ace news cameraman. Though a graduate from a premiere film institute, he opts for news media rather than movies. The Delhi-based cameraman reaches Kerala on an assignment and the film follows him.

Amala Paul, the Malayali actress who made it big in Tamil, is paired opposite Mohanlal as the female lead. She plays Renuka, an executive editor of a news channel. Biju Menon plays Rishi, another channel head, who is going through a difficult phase. The three come together to investigate a particular story.

Joshiy and Mohanlal joined hands last time for ‘Christian Brothers’ which turned out to be a hit.

Sachi of Sachi-Sethu duo, who churned out hits like ‘Chocolate’, ‘Robinhood’ and ‘Seniors’ has penned the script for the film produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner Galaxy Films.

'Run Baby Run' has cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and music by Ratheesh Vegha.
