Remember Arjun Lal, who acted as the doting son of Mohanlal in Thanmathra? Well, the young actor who grabbed the state award for his debut movie is all set to don the lead role in the upcoming film, Asha Black. The story revolves around the love story of teenagers, Asha and Rohit. Arjun who is making a come back to the silver screen after eight years will be playing the role of Rohit. The female lead will be a fresh face.
The film is helmed by debutant John Robinson who has more than a decade’s experience in the film industry. He has worked as an assistant director in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam film industries.
Kollywood sensation R Sarathkumar will also be playing a key role in the film. Manoj K Jayan, Shutter fame director Joy Mathew, Bhagath and Kottayam Nazeer are the other actors. The film will be shot in New Delhi, Bangalore and Kochi. The story and script are penned by John Robinson. Gireesh Puthenchery’s son Dinanath Puthenchery is penning the lyrics while Jesin George is composing the music.
The film will go on floors by the end of August in Kochi. The film under the banner of Nimith Productions is produced by Bindu John Varghese.
