Beauty queens entering filmdom is a tried and tested formula and has worked decently for Avanthika Mohan as well. A former model, Avanthika made her Tamil debut with ‘Aalamaram’ that released last week.
For Malayalam audience, she is a familiar face as she made her debut with the experimental film ‘Yakshi - Faithfully Yours’. She went on to star in ‘Mr Bean’, ‘Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi’, ‘Crocodile Love Story’ and ‘8.20’ with Neelakasham being her only commercially successful venture till date. With ‘Aalamaram’ not exactly taking the box office by storm, there are indeed some worry lines on the otherwise eyeful beauty.“I am just starting and hopefully soon the tide will turn around. Who doesn’t want a good box office success,” she says. Avanthika is game for glamour too and is hopeful of doing a role like ‘Queen’ someday and rule the roost. “I want to act with Vijay, Ajith, Suriya and Vikram,” she gushes.
