Director Priyadarshan made an announcement that the Hindi remake of his recent blockbuster Oppam is on the cards! Now the latest we hear is that, Ajay Devgn will play the lead role.

Oppam, a Malayalam film with Mohanlal as lead, became a box office hit. The film’s Telugu dub is expected for release by end of December.

A crime thriller, it revolves around the story of a blind man, who gets charged with committing a murder. How he hunts down the real killer, and proves his innocence, forms the crux of the story.

Ajay, whose release Shivaay received lukewarm response, is shooting for Baadshaho. Before Shivaay, he starred in the Hindi remake of Drishyam, which was also a remake of Malyalam film by the same name and starred Mohanlal in the lead.
