It’s not everyday we get to see a family-friendly film, something that makes the kids smile and reintroduce us with our own inner child. Kuttikalundu Sookshikkuka promises to be one such film with its interesting plot and lead artists.

“Every child’s first hero will be his father and Kuttikalundu Sookshikkuka is the story of two such siblings. The film is a thriller with two kids playing the leads,” says director Kalavoor Ravikumar.

The film chronicles the adventures of two brothers Niranjan and Neeraj and it’s Sanoop and Siddhrath who play them on screen. “Children has the habit of keeping in mind  conversations and casual remarks, unlike adults who easily dismiss them.

In the film the kids hear something from their father, a military officer, and decide to go after it. The film is all about their escapades and the confusion they create.

Even the title which means ‘beware of kids’ indicates that aspect,” he adds. While Anoop Menon plays their dad Major Gautam and Bhavana appears as their mom Shahida, Makarand Despande and Anu Mol are also part of the cast.

Ravikumar says though the film is a thriller, the treatment is funny. “Since the film has two kids in lead roles the entire storyline comes coated in humour.

“When it comes to children, their first approach will always be emotional. The logical and reasonable part is mostly out of picture and it’s same in the film too.

Like the children their age Niranjan and Neeraj are not aware of acceptable modes or legal formalities.”

He adds that the film deals with a subject that easily connects with families. “For every Malayali home is a very important factor in their life and the film is built on this basic premise.”

Kuttikalundu Sookshikkuka, produced by Mohan G under the banner of M Star Satellite Communications, is expected to hit screens by November last week.
