For those who the name Jagapati Babu doesn't ring a bell, think Daddy Girija, the villain who took on Murugan, played by Mohanlal, in the superhit Pulimurugan. Well, the Telugu star will be seen again in Pranav Mohanlal's debut movie Aadi. This was confirmed to Express by director Jeethu Joseph. Says Jeethu: "Yes, Jagapati Babu is doing a role in Aadi. However, I can't reveal more about his character. He is already a big name in Telugu movie and naturally, his role in Aadi will be a prominent one," says the director.
Though there are rumours doing rounds that Jagapati Babu will be playing the antagonist in the movie, Jeethu is tight lipped about his character and other details. Jagapati Babu's debut in Malayalam was in Pulimurugan, which went on to shatter records in the box office.Aadi, that will have Pranav playing the eponymous Aadi, went on floors early this month. Speculations have it that Aadi is a thriller and Pranav seems to have undergone training in Parkour , an obstacle training form, for the movie.
The director had also earlier confirmed Express that the movie doesn't have a love track in it. Aadi has Aditi Ravi and Anusree in prominent roles. The movie, produced under the banner of Aashirvad Movies, will hit the screens only next year.
