The teaser of Biju Menon-starrer Rosapoo is out and is already garnering hits. But, it has managed to raise a few eyebrows as well. While the teaser hints at Biju Menon and team heading to Chennai to make an adult movie, director Vinu Joseph says its too early to judge the genre of his directorial debut. He clarifies the movie is indeed a clean family entertainer.

"The teaser has managed to get good response. But, many are sceptical about the movie. True, the teaser offers a sneak peak into the world of adult films, but that's just a part of the whole movie. Our next teaser will bring the other face of the movie. I can assure movie lovers Rosapoo is a very clean entertainer, made for families. But, it will appeal the youth as well," says Vinu Joseph.

The teaser has Biju Menon, Basil Joseph, Neeraj Madhav and Soubin Shahir in unique avatars. While it also hints at the glossy side of cinema, Vinu Joseph says it is just a little bit of the movie. "In fact, Rosapoo is a story that ranges from 2001 to 2017. The time period is clear in the narrative. It traces the start of adult wave in Malayalam," he adds.Tamil actor Anjali appears as an adult star in Rosapoo. "Well, she isn't Laila, around whom the teaser revolves. But, her character has a similar shade.

It is a very performance oriented role and she was convinced about the character. She has done a great job," says Vinu.Though initial plan of the team was to release it during Christmas, the makers have pushed the date to January. "There is a lot of post-production work. We hope to bring it to the theatres during January," says Vinu Joseph.
