Shafeeq Rahman, the actor who played the antagonist in Amar Akbar Anthony,  says he will be back playing the man with grey shades in Tiyan, starring Prithviraj and Indrajith in the lead.

“In Tiyan, I am the loyal henchman of the main villain,” says Shafeeq. He  jokingly adds: “And, I do have dialogues in the movie, unlike in Amar Akbar  Anthony.”

Post the success of Amar Akbar Anthony, which gave him a major break, Shafeeq has been flooded with offers. “I am playing a soldier named Jayakrishnan in Major Ravi’s movie 1971, Beyond Borders. In the movie, Mohanlal has a batch of soldiers under him and I am one among them,” said Shafeeq.

Besides, Shafeeq is also excited about his role in Role Model starring Fahad. “I play the role of a cop in it. Sub-inspector Antony  D’Souza who  handle three languages including Hindi, English and Malayalam,” says the  actor.

He will also be seen in Ranjith’s Puthanpanam, with Mammootty in the lead.
“Most of the offers I get are that of negative shades. Well, I am not complaining but obviously, I am looking for a character that exploits the actor in me,” added Shafeeq.
