Incidentally, Nivin Pauly is acting in and as 'Richie' in the Tamil remake of 'Ulidavaru Kandathe', the cult neo-noir film directed and starring Rakshit Shetty.

'Ulidavaru Kandanthe' is a 2014 neo-noir Kannada film starring Rakshit Shetty as 'Richie', a flamboyant thug and the five stories that revolves around a murder. The stories are narrated by different characters with their own understanding.

Nivin Pauly, in an interview to Times of India, stressed on the importance of blurring the lines of the language divide and "started working as artistes."

The actor says the collaboration could start off with guest appearances and eventually might creating bigger creative things.

The actor also praised Shetty's second production, 'Humble Politican Nograj' and says that the movie's trailer left him in splits.

Nivin Pauly is currently shooting for 'Kayamkulam Kochunni' in Mangaluru. The film, directed by Rosshan Andrews will have Pauly as the legendary Robin-Hood thief of Kerala, Kayamkulam Kochunni. The team will move to Sri Lanka after the completion of Manjeshwar and Udipi schedules.
