Netflix India has added Angamaly Diaries and Adventures of Omanakuttan to its ever-growing list of critically acclaimed regional films. Recently, Sudani from Nigeria and Aadu 2 were added.
These new additions suggest that we will get to see more Malayalam films on Netflix in the near future. Angamaly Diaries is Lijo Jose Pellissery's biggest success so far. The film won raves both in Kerala and other states.
Pellissery's latest film Ee Ma Yau was also a big hit with critics and audiences alike. On the other hand, Adventures of Omanakuttan, though not a huge success, did solid business and has now developed a small cult following. Its director Rohith V S' second film Iblis, starring Asif Ali, is now awaiting release.
