I always wanted to be a hero: Tarun Gopi

I decided to portray my ideas the way I wish to, by becoming an actor. I will direct my movies too.

DIRECTOR Tarun Gopi has behind himself two movies: one famous, 'Thimiru', and one notorious, 'Kaalai'.But the director says he is bored of being a director because his expectations are only 25 percent fulfilled by his heroes. “I expect so much and they perform so little. If I expect a hundred percent performance from them, I get only a wuarter of that in the final output. So, I decided to portray my ideas the way I wish to, by becoming an actor. I will direct my movies too,” the director announced at the launch of 'Maayandi Kudumbathaar.'

“I’ve just got the confidence and the looks now,” he confesses, adding that his directorial attempts were only paths to his acting dreams. “I will be launched as a hero in this movie. I play a ruffian in the first half and a responsible guy later. This role really suits me,” he explains.

But that’s not all.

'Maayandi Kudumbathaar,' directed by Rasumaduravan, features ten directors as actors.

Meanwhile, eight assistant directors are acting in 'Kunuma Poove Konjum Puraave.'

With this trend picking up, looks like our heores will have a hard time!
