Jeyam Ravi is gung ho about his 'Peraanmai', directed by SP Jananathan. The shooting has been in full swing for this film, which has five heroines and even a Hollywood actor as villain. The unit has been shooting in thick, inaccessible forests where Jeyam Ravi plays a forest officer. Much hype and mystery surrounds the movie already. Now, with the visit of a scientist to the sets of the film, the curiosity around the film has increased.
The visitor was none other than Mayilsamy Annadurai, the scientist associated with the launch of the Chandrayan space vehicle. So what was this distinguished visitor doing on the sets of a forest film? Apparently, director Jananathan had extended a special invitation to him. The unit has set up a rocket and other paraphernalia relating to astronomical research on a grand set of the film at AVM Studios. The scientist was quite impressed with what he saw and this added to the enthusiasm of the unit members present, which included Jeyam Ravi, cameraman Sathishkumar and art director V Selvakumar. Mayilsamy saw the shooting for some time and offered his comments on the art work of the space station which he found very natural and realistically done.
Now what on earth is a rocket doing in a film like 'Peraanmai', which involves a forest officer and a band of five girls that set out to wreak revenge? We shall have to wait for the film to find out!
